Boat Hull Polishing & Waxing in Miami

Bring back the shine on faded gelcoat, or protect it with a one-step wax.

Boat Waxing and Hull Polishing at Your Dock

Polished hull of a sport yacht on a lift after boat hull polishing in Miami

Sun, salt and humidity are hard on gelcoat in Miami. Within a few seasons, a hull that was bright and glossy turns dull, chalky and faded. That is oxidation, and it only gets worse if nothing is done.

305 Detailing Miami offers two ways to deal with it, right at your dock, marina or dry stack. If the gelcoat still has its shine, a one-step wax protects it and keeps it looking good. If it is already faded, we polish the hull in two steps to remove the oxidation, stains and light scratches, then finish with a coat of wax. The result is a smooth, glossy hull that reflects the water again, and a gelcoat that lasts longer.

Wax or polish: two options

30 ft
Gelcoat still shiny

One-step boat wax

from $20/ft

To protect a hull that is in good shape.

  • Marine wax applied in one machine step
  • Adds gloss and a protective layer against UV and salt
  • Dirt and salt stick less, so washes are easier
  • Included once a year in our maintenance agreement
Faded or chalky gelcoat

Polishing & oxidation removal

$40/ft

To bring back the color and shine of an oxidized hull.

  • Two-step correction: compounding, then polishing
  • Removes oxidation, chalky film, stains and light scratches
  • Restores the original color and a deep gloss
  • Finished with a coat of wax to protect the result

Not sure which one you need? Rub your hand on the hull: if it comes off with a white, chalky residue, the gelcoat is oxidized and needs polishing. If not, a wax is enough. We confirm when we see the boat.
